Boat trips to Ailsa Craig where you can see the island by boat and experience the bird sanctuary from the boat close up. Hour trips / day trips are offered for the chance to visit this place you can discover the old granite workings or use footpaths or climb to the top of the Craig. A 4 hour trip is 30 per person ( minimum 8 people ) however the boat is fully licenced to carry up to 10 passengers and 2 crew.Ailsa Craig is an official RSPB nature reserve. In the summer months birds are nesting on the rock and cliffs. you will see gannets, guillemots, puffins, razorbill's, kittiwakes and herring gulls.I would agree that seeing the wildlife from the water is the best view you will see many seabirds, seals are often seen basking on the shoreline.Walking on the rock is permitted however strict rules must be adhered to regarding wildlife, walks and climbing.

Excellent trip aboard MV Glorious. Weather fantastic and great to walk on the island itself.

Fantabulous but avoid a windy day!

Great day out. Lovely gentle cruise out to Ailsa Craig and round the island. Lots of photo opportunities . Friendly atmosphere on the boat and points of interest/history pointed out. (Take your picnic but keep the island litter free) :-)

Cancelled, twice, once for bad weather, then at first said the weather was bad on Friday morning (for a Sunday trip), I pointed out that there was a good forecast and asked if he could get back in touch in the afternoon after he had checked the forecast. Mark did not phone me, when I phoned him he claimed there was a problem with the alternator and he was waiting for a part which had not arrived and could not therefore do the trip. Strange that he never mentioned this in the morning! I don't think he ever had any intention of doing the trip, we were looking forwards to it for weeks.
